October 2018 Updates & Upcoming Events

Happy October!! October is one of my favorite months. Not only is it my birthday month, but this month is all about Balance! We’ve crossed the threshold of the Autumn Equinox where day (light) and night (darkness) are equal. Many of you are probably feeling some changes in the air, quite literally. With the shorter days I’m feeling the pull to stay in bed under the covers a little longer and the desire to pull back inward after a very busy and outward summer.

What is your yearning this season for more balance in your life?

Some updates & upcoming events;

As you probably are aware by now, I dropped the Monday class so my current schedule for Kundalini Yoga is Wednesdays 5:15-6:30pm at the Flatiron Inn. This will likely be my regular schedule through the end of the year. The Flatiron Inn Yoga Studio is closed in the winter Jan-March. While I may not travel this winter, I do not have any other plans to teach publicly during this time. However, I will continue to be available for private classes by special arrangement.

I have one last workshop scheduled for the year in Pierre, SD on Saturday Oct 13th from 2:00-4:00pm at the Ubuntu Yoga Center.

October is also the birthday month of Guru Ram Das, The 4th Sikh Guru. He is known as the Guru of Miracles and Yogi Bhajans personal guru.

I will be doing the Special/Traditional Sadhana for his birthday chanting the Dhan Dhan Ram Das Guru Shabad for 2.5 hours after a short yoga set on October 9th from 4:00am-7:00am in my yurt. All are welcome, there is never a charge for Sadhana. I will have Yogi Tea after the Sadhana, feel free to bring a vegetarian potluck breakfast item to share afterwards. Please RSVP if you are coming so I know to look for you (and send you my address if you haven’t been here).
